Summary About Our Products
Using patented and proprietary technology, Magsphere's products are mostly monodispersed and available in diameter ranges from 0.02 um (20 nm) to 20 um. Our production method utilizes emulsion polymerization or seeded emulsion polymerization techniques to produce spherical, stable, ultra-clean, uniform latex particles. Aside from our basic white polystyrene latex particles, we also produce intensely dyed colored particles (blue, red, green), fluorescent particles (yellow, green, red, orange), and surfactant free latex particles. Latex particles are also available in numerous surface chemistry groups including carboxyl, amine, epoxy, and chloromethyl functionalities.
Our magnetic particles, or magnetic beads are synthesized by embedding superparamagnetic iron oxide crystals in a polystyrene matrix. They are specially designed for use either with hydrophobic surfaces for protein adsorption or with carboxylic acid groups on their surface for covalent conjugation. Three convenient average sizes of magnetic particles, 0.8um, 2 um and 5 um are ideal for magnetic cell separation, automated immunoassay and concentrating or purification of peptides or protein from biological samples.
